Why i want to be a nurse

When I was younger, my mother worked at Caldwell Hospice and Palliative Care in Lenoir as a case manager. I spent a lot of time around Hospice with the nurses and patients. I saw how caring the nurses were and how thankful the families were for the nurses who were there to accommodate the needs of their family member, no matter what the need was or what time of day or night it was.  That is when I decided that I wanted to help people. I have always loved helping people and I was good at communicating with them also. When my great aunt, who suffered liver disease, was put into Hospice with only days to live, I received some hands on experience. I assisted the nurse's in sponge bathing, clothing, and feeding her. Everything felt natural to me. When she passed I sat by her bed, held her hand, and sang to her as she passed.
